All things work together for good to them that love God (Rom.8:28). What God calls good is His "telos", His consummate end, which is your glorification, your conformity with Christ, your sharing in His sonship. The beneficiaries of what God calls good are those who love Him. To love God is to be reoriented by His love. You were designed to be loved by God. Once you awaken to God's love for you, you love Him with all your being, and in the midst of the groanings of the cosmos and your own weaknesses, you are able to discern that you are not thrown back on yourself.
