The Incarnation is not just an event in history. The mystery of Godliness—the scheme of the Gospel, the outworking of God's plan brought to its highest conclusion—is that God was manifest in the flesh. This is our Faith, our worship, and what we revere. We acknowledge that God and humanity are compatible as revealed in the Person of Jesus Christ, the Word of God published in flesh. In His Incarnation, He took what was ours by becoming what we are, and in that same event, He freely bestowed to us what is His, making us what He is. This sharing in common of natures is what is known as Theosis, which is salvation to its highest degree.

In this series, Prof. Shawn Smith presents the Incarnation and its implications as the very content of the Gospel. Christ has made us partakers of the Divine nature. We are co-identified with Him, considered the same, all conditions taken into account. It is time to see and to acknowledge who we are.
