Jesus Christ is the embodiment of the Kingdom. He exerts His influence from within us; hence, the Kingdom of God is wherever Jesus Christ is Lord. Without internal governance and watchfulness over the mind to remain in the state of peace, which is the rule of Christ, contradictions of this life will deviate us because our reactionary mind will be influenced by the things we are called to govern. We need to learn not to be influenced by what is outside of us, to act and not to react, because actions will be based on convictions, while reactions will be superficial carnal responses.
