The presentation of the Gospel in the ancient apostolic mindset lays much emphasis on “conversion”. To the apostles, “conversion” is equivalent to one's calling; it refers to being awakened to your true identity and purpose within the cosmos, and as a result, you become the vessel of God’s motion on earth. It is not about exchanging an old set of beliefs for a new one, as many have often presumed, nor about saying a prayer or responding to an altar call. We are to acquire the mind of Christ, awaken to our true identity and embrace our vocation.
