The Greek term “eucharisteo” is translated as “thanksgiving” in English. By thanksgiving, we are
responding to Christ’s prior response; we are accepting our acceptance, and learning to “Amen” His
“Amen”. Jesus Christ did not come to give us a prescription of how we are to approach God by our
own means to relate with Him. But in His descent as the Image and Word of God to assume our
humanity, He incorporates us into His filial standing before the Father. By the Spirit, we now share in
that communion by which we are accepted.
Learn of the things Christ has wrought for you and let this understanding become the domains of
great confession for true confession and thanksgiving go together. Acknowledge this day with
thanksgiving what is revealed in Him concerning you.
